Whats in my bag ?

So I figured I would share a little insight to what I normally bring with me to most of my events.

My Camera Bag
The trusted airport security bag from Think Tank Photo which holds a ton of gear.

My Cameras and Lenses
Canon 5d Mark II-
My trusty new Canon 5d Mark II for those amazing low light candid that I love so much

Spare Canon 5d camera

Canon 24mm 1.4 – for getting ready and environment shots

Canon 35mm 1.4 – for groups and wide shots

Canon 50mm 1.2 – on my camera 80% of the time

Canon 85mm 1.2 – for those intimate portraits

Canon 135mm 2 – for portraits and for creating that amazing background blur

Canon 70-200 2.8 IS – portrait and go to ceremony lens

A bunch of Canon Flashes – although I don’t use a whole lot of flash, I am an available light kinda guy.

I also carry a few light stands for the reception.

Most of my lenses are carry with me at the event in my lens bag from Jessica Claire, The “Shoot Sac.” It is an amazing little lens “sac” that allows quick access to my gear.

As you can see I use very few zoom lenses I like to use as many prime lenses as possible to get the absolute best image quality and to be able to use as much available light as possible.

Tara & David’s Wedding

What a fun couple. Tara and David have been together forever.. They had such an amazing time at the reception, starting with the entrance where David slid through the arch of flowers.. Nice touch. The second dance was also a great rock song that, lets just say, shocked a few people.. haha. nice job guys..
